501 or 301, with double in and double out if you want them. Play best of legs or best of sets.

Add the players and TOPS lists every round-robin match. When the board is free, tap Play on the next one.

Nearby games

Host a game and other iPhones and iPads on the same Wi-Fi can join. Each person scores or just watches, so nobody crowds around one phone.

A caller reads out every turn total, 180s included. Import a caller pack as a ZIP to change the voice.

In landscape, both players sit on the left and the number pad takes the right half. Double, Treble, Bull and Undo each get their own key.

The big fish, spelled out

Once a finish is possible, the route shows above your score. From 170 that's T20, T20, bullseye. Nobody does the maths.

Wins, losses and what was left

Win a leg and you score whatever your opponent had left. Lose one and your own leftover comes off your total. The match in play shows the current scores.

Tops get counted too

Every player gets a three-dart average, a checkout rate and a count of their 100+, 140+ and 180 turns. Tops is darts slang for double 20, and TOPS counts every one you hit.

How a leg works.

One person can score for everyone, so only one phone has to come out.

  1. Set up a leg

    Add the players, pick 501 or 301, set the rules and start.

  2. Enter your darts

    Enter each dart on the number pad. Use Double or Treble for the rings and 0 for a miss. Undo takes back the last dart.

  3. Check out

    Hit the finish and the leg is yours. Score too much and TOPS marks the visit as a bust and passes the throw to the next player.

Common questions.

Is TOPS for league management?

No. TOPS is for games at home or with friends. It has round-robin tournaments, but no league administration.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Scoring, stats and saved games all work offline. Nearby games only need everyone on the same Wi-Fi.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start a game.

Is it really free?

Yes. TOPS is a hobby project. There are no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases.

What languages does it support?

English and German.
